Accelerometers for Aerospace/Defence Applications
Our advanced, off-the-shelf line of high-performance,
rugged, lightweight, uniaxial and triaxial transducers is
based on the best sensor technology available and includes
piezoelectric, ISOTRON, DeltaTron, piezoresistive, and
variable capacitance accelerometers. A number of GIT transducers are available with
Transducer Electronic Data Sheets (TEDS). TEDS-equipped
transducers host all pertinent specifications inside the
transducer itself, in a special format defined by IEEE
1451.4.

4511 Specially
developed for a leading European civil and military
helicopter manufacturer and originally designed for
Health Usage Monitoring of helicopter gearboxes, Type
4511 is flight-test certified, and all processes and
materials comply with MIL-STD-11268. The primary design
objective has been reliability under extreme conditions
yielding very high robustness versus mechanical,
electrical and environmental influences. |
 |
4326 Miniature
triaxial, piezoelectric accelerometer that provides a
low sensitivity to extraneous environmental effects
achieved through the patented ThetaShear design. Light
weight (13 g) to minimse mass loading. All three
individual sensors are isolated from each other and from
the mounting surface by a hard anodized isolator. |
 |
4393 Miniature
DeltaShear, Uni-Gain charge accelerometer fitted with a
subminiature connector, for high-level, high-frequency
vibration measurements and for measurements in confined
spaces or on delicate structures. |
 |
4394 Miniature
DeltaTron, Uni-Gain accelerometer with a ceramic
insulated base. Fitted with a subminiature connector for
measurements on lightweight structures where relatively
high-level, high-frequency vibrations are
encountered. |
 |
2220 Miniature
piezoelectric accelerometer designed specifically for
high-temperature vibration measurement on
mini-structures and small objects. Hermetically sealed
and ideal for use in extreme environments. Its light
weight eliminates mass loading. |
 |
2221 Piezoelectric
accelerometer designed specifically for vibration
measurement on small structures and objects. Epoxy
sealed and ideal for use in a controlled environment.
Its light weight (12 g) effectively minimises mass
loading. |
 |
2223 Triaxial
piezoelectric accelerometer designed specifically for
vibration measurement of three orthogonal axes on large
structures and objects. All three individual sensors are
isolated from each other and from the mounting surface
by a hard anodized isolator. |
 |
2228 Small, triaxial,
piezoelectric accelerometer designed specifically for
vibration measurement in three orthogonal axes on small
structures and objects. Its light weight (15 g)
effectively minimises mass load. |
 |
8507 Rugged, miniature,
high-sensitivity piezoresistive pressure transducer.
Small size, plus high sensitivity and high-resonance
frequency make it suitable for wind-tunnel and
flight-test applications. |
 |
8515C A low profile,
0.030 inch (0.76 mm) absolute pressure transducer, with
easy surface mounting capabilities and high sensitivity.
Ideal for measurements on aerodynamic surfaces during
flight test. Other uses are helicopter or turbine blade
pressure measurements. A rubber fairing is available for
airflow smoothing for flight test applications. |

8309 For measurement of
very high-level, continuous vibration and mechanical
shock up to150 kms2 and 1000 kms2
peak, respectively. Of sturdy construction for
withstanding very high-level, continuous vibration and
shock. |
 |
2255 Miniature,
lightweight piezoelectric accelerometer with integral
electronics, designed specifically for far-field high-g
shock measurement on structures and test articles.
Features an electronic second order low-pass filter
between the sensor and the amplifier input stage to
prevent saturation due to accelerometer resonance. |
 |
4393 Miniature
DeltaShear, Uni-Gain charge accelerometer fitted with a
subminiature connector, for high-level, high-frequency
vibration measurements and for measurements in confined
spaces or on delicate structures. |
 |
4374 Designed to
measure the vibration of very lightweight structures
where high-level, high-frequency vibration signals are
commonly encountered, and where the use of heavier
transducers would alter the mode of vibration,
invalidating measurements. Typical application areas are
measurements on thin vibrating panels, model testing,
work in confined spaces and measurement of moderately
high-level shock. |
 |
4394 Miniature
DeltaTron, Uni-Gain accelerometer with a ceramic
insulated base. Fitted with a subminiature connector for
measurements on lightweight structures where relatively
high-level, high-frequency vibrations are
encountered. |
 |
4500
& 4501 Cubic, ThetaShear, piezoelectric
accelerometers providing a low sensitivity to extraneous
environmental effects. Lightweight, aluminium housing.
Designed with particular emphasis on low mass and small
physical dimensions, combined with relatively high
sensitivity and the greatest possible flexibility in
mounting. |
